D.I.KHAN: Unidentified militants opened fire on police officers in Dera Ismail Khan on Friday, resulting in the martyrdom of a police sub-inspector and a head constable.
The attack occurred within the jurisdiction of Chaduwan Police Station. Mubashir Makan, the Regional Police Officer of Dera Ismail Khan, confirmed that the police responded with retaliatory fire, but the assailants managed to escape the scene.
Following the incident, police and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) teams rushed to the location to conduct a thorough search operation. Authorities also collected evidence from the site to aid in the investigation.
