KALAT: A powerful explosion targeted a security patrol in the Mangochar area of Kalat district, southwest Balochistan, resulting in the martyrdom of two security officials and injuries to four others
The blast took place near a post manned by the Bomb Disposal (BD) team in the Jobaan locality, when a vehicle carrying security personnel was hit during a routine patrol. According to Levies sources, the attack was carried out using a remotely triggered improvised explosive device (IED).Emergency response teams and security forces quickly reached the scene, retrieving the bodies of the fallen personnel and providing medical aid to the injured at a nearby hospital.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident yet. Authorities believe insurgent groups operating in the area may be involved.
In the wake of the attack, the area was sealed off, and a search operation was initiated to apprehend those responsible.
