Karachi (January 31, 2018): The Water Commission head Ameer Hani Muslim expressing the anger over the leniency of administration regarding the submission of work out plan for break-up and time line of the restoration of filter and treatments plants and set the 24 hours as deadline for submission of report on Wednesday.
“If administration failed to submit comprehensive work plan of restoration of filter and treatment plants he will send the report to Supreme Court for the further action,” Ameer Hani said directing the preparation of officials list who caused the delay in drafting of work plan.
He also remarked that the SC should be informed that officials of Sindh government were not ready to implement on apex court orders, while commission has rejected the plan of k-4 project submitted by the MD water board.
Chairman planning commission Waseem Ahmed, Syed Jamal Mustafa Shah, MD water board and other officials appeared before the court.
Chairman planning commission Waseem Ahmed sought 24 hours extension for comprehensive plan, on which commission giving extension of 24 hours adjourned the hearing for Thursday, tomorrow.
On January 30, Water Commission has demanded from chief secretary to submit work plan and ordered to produce report regarding the water board and Govt steps about stability of local bodies by tomorrow.
The case was heard in Sindh High Court, headed by the water commission head Justice(R) Amir Hani Muslim.
Chief secretary and chairman planning and development could not appear before commission, however additional secretary health Rehan Baloch, Additional advocate general Sarwar Khan and others appeared.
The head of commission expressed anger on chief secretary and chairman planning for remaining absent.
Advocate general stated that chief secretary has called a meeting of experts that’s why he was unable to appear.
Commission head remarked, “govt has only one day to provide a plan, otherwise I will give my plan.”
