KARACHI: A pregnant woman and her husband were killed after a water tanker collided with their motorcycle near Malir Halt in Karachi. The newborn baby born during the incident also passed away.
According to rescue sources, this tragic incident occurred near Malir Halt, where the water tanker crushed the husband and wife riding the motorcycle.
Police confirmed that the wife was pregnant and gave birth to the baby while injured; however, the baby also died.
Police stated that the driver has been arrested, and the water tanker has been seized. The accident is believed to have occurred due to the water tanker’s brake failure.
According to the police, the water tanker was coming from the highway and was speeding towards Shahrah-e-Faisal from beneath the Malir Halt bridge, which caused the motorcycle-riding couple to be hit by the tanker.
