West Indies Defeated Bangladesh By 7 Wickets in First T-20

Basseterre (August 01, 2018): West Indies has defeated Bangladesh with 7 wickets in first T-20 due to Duckworth-Lewis rule.

Bengal tigers bat first, and scored 143 runs over the loss of 9 wickets. Mahmudullah and Liton Das performed best, and scored 35 and 24 runs respectively. Kesrick Williams bowled 4, while Ashley Nurse and Keemo Paul got 3 wickets each for their team. As per the Duck-worth rule, West Indies got the target of 93 runs in 11 overs due to rain, which was achieved by by them over the loss of 3 wickets. Andre Russell was declared the man of the match as he hit 3 sixes and 3 fours in 21 balls and scored a total of 35 runs.Marlon Samuels and Rovman Powell scored 26 and 15 runs respectively. West Indies won the match with 7 wickets according to duck-worth rule and got a lead of 1-0 over Bangladesh.Remaining two matches of the series are scheduled to be played on Saturday and Sunday.
