Bilawal Claims 2020 Will be The Year of Transparent, Fair Election

RAWALPINDI: The chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto on Friday paying rich tribute his mother Benazir Bhutto, who was killed during a public rally on December 27, 2007, and said she had been working for the right of the people for 30 years and never bow down before the dictators.

“She had passed pain of country exile and despite the risk to her life she had returned to the country on the sake of people and democracy,” Bilawal said while addressing to a public rally at Liaqat Bagh Rawalpindi, the same venue where she had gunned down.

He was warmly welcomed by the party workers on his arrival in the garrison town earlier on Friday.

“She faced dictators, extremists and lightened the name of Pakistan on the map of the globe,” he said while continue eulogizing her mother.

Lashing out at PTI government Bilawal Said, ” Parliament has been locked, people’s rights being usurped, the attacks being made on 18th amendment and the people of all the province are protesting for their rights.”

“People’s economic genocide being done, peoples are deprived of from roofs and government has become a curse for the nation,” PPP chairman assails PTI government.

Bilawal Bhutto claimed, ” He will continue to make the struggle to complete Bibi’s incomplete mission and will complete it. I will get free the democracy and will bring the people epicentre of strength,” Bilawal said.

The organisers have set up two stages in the ground, one for the central and provincial leadership and for the divisional and district level leaders.

Walls around the ground are adorned with party flags and images of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, Bilawal, and Asif Zardari besides the sponsoring leaders. The sound systems have been blaring party songs to create a festive mood and keep volunteers charged throughout the day.

One of the boundary walls of Liaquat Bagh has been demolished to make a wide course that has been made for the workers expected to come out in large numbers. This wall would be constructed again by the party after the meeting.
