CHAKWAL: The Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi has issued visas to 154 Hindu pilgrims, allowing them to visit the historic Katas Raj Temple in Chakwal, Punjab.
Pakistani Chargé d’Affaires Saad Warraich extended his best wishes to the pilgrims, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to interfaith harmony and religious inclusivity. He stated that the government of Pakistan will continue to facilitate religious visits as part of its policy to promote mutual understanding between different faith communities.
The Katas Raj Temple, a significant pilgrimage site for Hindus, holds religious and historical importance. Every year, Hindu devotees from India travel to Pakistan to visit the temple under the framework of the 1974 Pakistan-India Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines
