GUJRANWALA: A case has registered against Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, under the Telegraph Act in Gujranwala.
According to the Gujranwala police, the case was filed at the Gakhar Mandi police station under the Telegraph Act.
This is not the first time Bushra Bibi has faced legal action; earlier, cases were registered against her in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Multan, Layyah, and Gujranwala. All of these cases stem from a video statement made by Bushra Bibi.
In the video, Bushra Bibi claimed that after Imran Khan visited Madina barefoot and returned, calls began coming for General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the former Army Chief. She alleged that Bajwa was told, “Who is this person you have brought? We don’t want such people.” According to Bushra Bibi, Bajwa was further informed, “We are in the process of ending Sharia in the country, and you bring this person here. We don’t want such people.” She said that from that moment, a campaign of defamation was launched against them. She also stated that she was targeted with false accusations, and Imran Khan was labeled a “Jewish agent.”
Following the video statement, Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), instructed his wife, Bushra Bibi, to distance herself from politics, in response to concerns raised by the PTI leadership.
