TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has stated that Iran will not engage in negotiations with the United States under any pressure or threats.
According to the media, in response to reports about a letter sent by U.S. President Donald Trump and the invitation for talks, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that Iran will not negotiate under pressure or threats, no matter the topic.
The report further mentions that on Sunday, the Iranian mission to the United Nations issued a statement saying that Iran could be willing to hold talks to address U.S. concerns regarding its nuclear program.
However, the Iranian Foreign Minister has now completely rejected the possibility of any talks resulting from pressure.
It is worth noting that following the letter from the U.S. President regarding talks, the Iranian Supreme Leader also reacted in recent days, stating that some bullying countries focus on forcing their demands through negotiations, rather than solving issues.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that Iran will not accept the demands of such countries, including those calling for the end of Iran’s missile program.
