Rawalpindi: Peshawar Zalmi defeated Multan Sultans by 120 runs in the 9th match of PSL-10 here at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Multan Sultan chasing a whopping target of 228 runs bowled out on 107 runs in 16th over.
The Sultans got off to a shaky start to their innings as they lost their captain Mohammad Rizwan (15) in the fourth over with just 27 runs on the board.
Later, Usman joined Shai Hope in the middle and added 36 runs for the second wicket to keep the Sultans in the hunt.
The crucial partnership culminated in the seventh over with Shai Hope (20) falling victim to Arif Yaqoob.
His dismissal sparked a match-defining collapse, which saw Sultans losing their remaining eight wickets, including that of their mainstay Usman, for just 44 runs and as a result, were bowled out for a meagre 107.
Usman remained the top-scorer for Sultans with a 22-ball 44, laced with four fours and three sixes.
From Peshawar Zalmi Ali Raza picked four wickets while Arif Yaqoob got three wickets.
Besides that Mitchell Owen took two wickets whereas Saim Ayub got one wicket.
Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi have given enormous total of 228 runs to Multan Sultans after boisterous batting of its four back to back players which included Tom Kohler-Cadmore half century scoring 52 runs.
Peshawar lost early wickets of Saim Ayub and skipper Babar Azam but after that coming five batters made a day for Zalmi as all five poured plenty of runs.
Cadmore splendidly made 52 runs with two fours and five six strike rate of 173. Muhammad Harris tremendously hit 45 runs which included four fours, three six maintaining strike rate of 214.
Besides that Hussain Talat scored 37 runs while Mitchell Owens hit boisterous 34 runs in just 15 ball with four six and one four having strike rate of 226.
In the end another boisterous innings witnessed of Muhammad Samad who scored 40 runs in just 14 balls with three six and four four.
From Multan Sultans, David Willey ,Michael Bracewell, Ubaid Shah picked two wickets each while Iftakhar Ahmed begged one wicket.
