Naqvi clarified that there have been no discussions, nor any plans, related to the President resigning or the Army Chief seeking the presidency. He also reaffirmed that President Zardari maintains a “strong and respectful” relationship with the armed forces, and he pointed to the President’s own remarks, stating: “I know who is spreading these lies, their motives, and who benefits from this propaganda.”
