WEB DESK: In China, the world’s first robot has been developed that can replace its own battery independently. The robot, named Walker S2, has been created by the Chinese company UBTECH.
According to the company, this is the first robot of its kind that can autonomously change its battery without any human assistance. Designed primarily for industrial tasks, the Walker S2 can swap its batteries in just three minutes, allowing it to continue working without interruption.
This capability significantly reduces downtime, enabling the robot to operate continuously. Additionally, it is expected to lower maintenance and repair costs.
The robot is equipped with dual-battery power balance technology, which allows it to monitor its battery levels in real-time. When needed, it can replace or recharge its batteries automatically. The robot also features a quick-charge battery model, enabling it to change batteries rapidly and minimize downtime.
The company claims that thanks to this innovative technology, the Walker S2 can operate continuously for up to 24 hours.
