ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid a visit to the family home of Martyr Major Rizwan Tahir on Wednesday, expressing his condolences and gratitude for his sacrifice.
The minister met with Major Rizwan Tahir’s father, Colonel retired Muhammad Tahir, as well as his brother, Major Usman Tahir, and other family members.
During the visit, Naqvi conveyed his heartfelt sympathy and prayed for Major Rizwan Tahir’s high ranks in the hereafter.
He commended the resilience and courage of the family, particularly highlighting the bravery of Major Rizwan Tahir in fighting against Indian-backed terrorists, which led to his martyrdom.
Naqvi praised the family’s strength, describing Major Rizwan Tahir’s parents as symbols of bravery and resilience, and expressed deep respect for their determination. The interior minister emphasized that Major Rizwan Tahir is a national hero whose sacrifice embodies the spirit of patriotism. He assured that the entire nation remains grateful for the sacrifices made by brave families like theirs.
Senior officials, including Islamabad Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa and IG Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi, accompanied Naqvi during the visit, reaffirming the government’s commitment to honoring martyrs and supporting their families.
