ISLAMABAD: Earthquake tremors were felt in the federal capital Islamabad, Peshawar, and several other cities across the country.
According to the Seismic Monitoring Center, the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.4 and its epicenter was located southeast of Afghanistan. The center also reported that the depth of the earthquake was 22 kilometers.
It is worth noting that on the night of September 1st, a powerful earthquake in Afghanistan resulted in over 1,400 deaths and hundreds of injuries. During that time, tremors were also felt in various cities across Pakistan.
