PESHAWAR: At least four police personnel were wounded when a police van was targeted with an improvised explosive device (IEC) near Qamar Din Chowk in Bhana Mari police precincts in Peshawar on Thursday evening.
Peshawar Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed as saying that the police personnel were on a routine patrol when they were targeted. The wounded police personnel were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for first aid.
Police and security forces cordoned off the area and started collecting evidence. Panic and fear gripped the area after the incident.
