KARACHI: Gold prices witnessed an upward trend in Pakistan on Saturday, aligning with gains in the international market. In the local market, the price of gold per tola climbed to Rs422,700, marking an increase of Rs2,100 in a single day.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association , the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs1,800, reaching Rs362,397.
The previous day, Friday, saw gold prices experiencing a decline of Rs4,578 per tola, closing at Rs420,600.
On the global market front, gold prices also registered an increase today. The international rate stood at $4,016 per ounce (with a $20 premium), showing a gain of $21, as reported by APGJSA.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola remained unchanged at Rs5,100.
