Karachi: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced another significant drop on Thursday, aligning with a decline in global rates.
As per the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold plummeted by Rs3,500 per tola, settling at Rs433,862.
In the domestic market, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also saw a reduction of Rs3,001, now priced at Rs371,966. Likewise, 10 grams of 22-karat gold were recorded at Rs340,981, reflecting a decrease of Rs2,751 compared to the previous day.
Globally, gold prices fell by $35, reaching $4,115 per ounce. This decline continues amid strengthening global currencies and cautious market behavior from investors.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged. The rate for 24-karat silver per tola stood steady at Rs5,110, with 10 grams priced at Rs4,381.
