RAWALPINDI: H.E. General Fayyadh Bin Hameed Al Rowaili, Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the Saudi Armed Forces, met General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, at the General Headquarters (GHQ) today.
During their discussions, both leaders focused on issues of mutual interest, particularly the reinforcement of the strong and strategic military ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. They underscored the need to further enhance defence collaboration, security partnerships, and joint counter-terrorism efforts, which remain vital components of their longstanding bilateral relationship.
General Fayyadh Bin Hameed Al Rowaili expressed his appreciation for Pakistan’s cooperation with Saudi Armed Forces across various domains and reiterated his commitment to further strengthen these close ties.
Upon his arrival at GHQ, the visiting dignitary laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and received a Guard of Honour from an impeccably turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army.
