PakistaN, Egypt discuss defense, security, and regional peace.

ISLAMABAD: Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty, engaged in a significant diplomatic meeting with Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Monday. The interaction aimed to fortify the strategic partnership between Egypt and Pakistan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting occurred at GHQ in Rawalpindi, where comprehensive discussions were held. The dialogue centered on reviewing bilateral relations, emphasizing defence and security cooperation, military-to-military interactions, training initiatives, and fostering regional peace and stability.

Both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing coordination and strengthening long-standing ties across defence and broader strategic arenas. The Egyptian Foreign Minister conveyed greetings from his country’s leadership and reiterated Egypt’s sustained interest in bolstering collaboration with Pakistan in diverse sectors.

The two sides also highlighted the criticality of maintaining regular high-level engagements to tackle emerging challenges, particularly given the shifting dynamics of regional security.
