ISLAMABAD: Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Zhaparov, President of Kyrgyzstan, arrived in Islamabad today for a two-day inaugural state visit to Pakistan, marking an important milestone in advancing bilateral relations.
This visit, extended at the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, highlights the growing collaboration between Pakistan and the Kyrgyz Republic across diplomatic, economic, and cultural domains.
Accompanying President Zhaparov is a high-level delegation that includes senior cabinet members, key officials, and leading business figures, emphasizing the significance of this diplomatic interaction.
The Kyrgyz President’s agenda includes a formal meeting with the President of Pakistan followed by one-on-one discussions with the Prime Minister. Delegation-level talks are also set to explore avenues for cooperation in various sectors. Furthermore, President Zhaparov is expected to deliver an address at the Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan Business Forum, emphasizing the mutual desire to strengthen trade and investment connections.
The leaders aim to review the full range of bilateral relations, seeking ways to deepen collaboration in areas such as trade, energy, defense, education, and technology. Enhancing regional connectivity and fostering stronger ties between their citizens are also likely to be a focal point during this visit.
