Faiz Hameed’s conviction is historical decision: Bilawai Bhutto

CHINIOT: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the conviction of Faiz Hameed is historical decision, and he clarified that the federal government does not intend to impose governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, he noted that the option remains open if law and order deteriorate.

While speaking to the press in Chiniot, Bilawal Bhutto described the sentencing of former ISI chief General (Retired) Faiz Hameed as a historic ruling. He emphasized that this decision would establish a precedent for future generations. Bilawal also mentioned that further investigations and a detailed trial of Faiz Hameed are still underway.

Addressing the political landscape, Bilawal stated that Imran Khan brought politics of fear and chaos, which has resulted in him being behind bars.

He remarked, “In my political journey, I have seen two tyrants—Imran Khan and Faiz Hameed both now facing the consequences of their actions.”

Bilawal praised the Constitutional Court’s decision under the 27th Amendment as a significant achievement. He acknowledged the financial challenges currently confronting the federal government and pointed fingers at Islamabad for these economic difficulties.

The PPP leader stressed the importance of all political parties playing their part and assured that the party would offer constructive suggestions in this regard.

Furthermore, Bilawal highlighted that the Shehbaz-led government has taken steps toward economic stability and stressed the urgent need to attract foreign investment to boost the country’s economy.
