ISLAMABAD: Former caretaker Federal Minister Gohar Ejaz hailed the recent privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) as a historic milestone, describing it as a “golden day in Pakistan’s economic journey.”
Speaking at a public event, Gohar Ejaz emphasized that this move reflects growing confidence among Pakistani entrepreneurs, who are increasingly investing in the country’s future. He pointed out that numerous government entities have been incurring billions in losses, with PIA long struggling to stay afloat.
Ejaz highlighted that the privatization process marks the beginning of a new era for the nation’s economy, opening up fresh opportunities for investment and growth. He also lauded the Arif Habib Consortium for submitting a record-breaking bid, viewing it as a positive indicator of renewed investor trust and economic revitalization in Pakistan.
