WEB DESK: Pakistan has officially been granted the hosting rights for the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Boys U-17 Championship, scheduled to be held in August 2026.
The announcement was confirmed by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif through a post on X (previously known as Twitter), describing it as a remarkable milestone for the country’s sports development.

The championship will bring together U-17 football teams from across South Asia, offering young athletes a platform to showcase their skills in a competitive environment.
This event is anticipated to invigorate football activities within Pakistan and draw international attention to the nation’s evolving sports sector.
Khawaja Asif emphasized that the Pakistan Football Federation’s (PFF) successful bid to host this tournament underscores the global confidence in Pakistan’s ability to deliver significant sports events.
