QUETTA: The Pakistan Army has successfully carried out an intelligence-driven operation in the Kalat district of Balochistan, resulting in the neutralization of four terrorists affiliated with the Indian-backed group, Fitna al Hindustan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed.
According to the military’s media wing, the operation took place on January 12, 2026, after intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants linked to Indian proxy organizations in Kalat. Security forces launched a precise raid targeting the terrorists’ hideout, engaging in a fierce exchange of fire that led to the death of four militants believed to be involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.
Recovered from the scene were weapons and ammunition, indicating active participation in ongoing insurgent operations. The military has stated that sanitization efforts are underway to root out any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists in the area.
This latest operation is part of Pakistan’s broader counter-terrorism campaign under the national initiative “Azm e Istehkam,” which aims to eliminate foreign-backed militant networks. The campaign, endorsed by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan, underscores the country’s resolve to combat terrorism and secure its borders.
Previously, on December 27, 2025, security forces also conducted a separate raid in Kalat, killing another four militants connected to Fitna al Hindustan. During that operation, security personnel recovered a significant cache of weapons, explosives, and ammunition from the militant hideout.
The ISPR emphasized that these ongoing operations highlight the heightened alertness of Pakistan’s security agencies and their unwavering commitment to dismantling foreign-sponsored terrorist networks across Balochistan and beyond.
