WEB DESK: Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha stated that the team’s potential match against India in the World Cup depends entirely on the government’s decision, not the players.
Agha expressed respect for the government’s stance and excitement for leading Pakistan in his first World Cup. He stressed the team’s commitment to perform well against all opponents and focus particularly on their opening game against the Netherlands.
Reflecting on past tournaments, he acknowledged falling short of fan expectations but remains hopeful for better results given the team’s current form. He emphasized that no team should be underestimated in the competition and highlighted the supportive atmosphere in Sri Lanka, likening it to a second home.
Additionally, he voiced disappointment over Bangladesh’s absence from the World Cup, calling it unfortunate for the tournament.
