$186 billion loss for Arab nations in Just one month due to Iran conflict

WEB DESK: The ongoing Iran conflict has resulted in a staggering economic toll on Arab countries, with losses amounting to $186 billion within a single month.

United Nations Assistant Secretary-General Abdullah Dardari highlighted that delays in achieving a ceasefire are severely impacting the global economy. He warned that the Arab region’s gross domestic product (GDP) has shrunk by approximately 6 percent amid the turmoil.

Dardari pointed out that the financial damage in Arab nations continues to mount, with the eastern Mediterranean alone suffering around $30 billion in losses.

The conflict also threatens massive employment disruptions, with an estimated 3.7 million jobs at risk. Additionally, the economic strain has pushed millions more below the poverty line, with 4 million individuals either sliding into or on the verge of poverty over the past month.
