ISLAMABAD: A local court has granted interim pre-arrest bail to TikToker and dermatologist Fazeela Abbasi in a case related to the alleged operation of an unauthorized clinic.

The relief was granted on Monday by Special Judge Central Humayun Dilawar, who directed Abbasi to cooperate fully with the investigation.

During the proceedings, Abbasi appeared before the court alongside her legal counsel, Naeem Bukhari, and submitted a plea seeking pre-arrest bail. The court approved her interim bail against surety bonds worth Rs50,000 and instructed her to join the inquiry. The case has been adjourned until April 15 for further hearing.

According to officials, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has registered two cases against Abbasi concerning the alleged running of an illegal clinic. She is also facing a separate money laundering case, in which she is currently on bail.

Earlier, the Islamabad High Court had reinstated her interim bail in the money laundering matter and directed her to approach the trial court for further proceedings.

The recent development comes after a trial court had previously dismissed her pre-arrest bail application due to her absence during the hearing. In its written order, the court noted that she failed to appear despite the case being scheduled and rejected her request for exemption on medical grounds, describing it as misuse of pre-arrest bail concessions.

Subsequently, Abbasi moved the Islamabad High Court, which granted her interim relief and allowed her to pursue the matter before the relevant trial court.
