Pakistan condemns Iran’s strikes on Saudi Arabia, Reaffirms support for Riyadh’s security

ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, Pakistan issued a strong statement condemning the missile and drone attacks carried out by Iran overnight targeting energy installations in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. The Foreign Office (FO) emphasized its deep concern over the incident.

In its official statement, Pakistan expressed sorrow over the loss of lives caused by the attacks and condemned the damage inflicted on key infrastructure. The Foreign Office conveyed condolences to the families of the victims and reiterated Pakistan’s full support and solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during this challenging period.

Through a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), the Iranian envoy noted that Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace and facilitate dialogue are approaching a sensitive phase. He added, “Stay tuned for further updates.”

These comments came just hours before a deadline set by U.S. President Donald Trump, demanding Iran reopen the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping or face potential military actions targeting critical infrastructure.
