ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation and promoting regional peace during a joint press conference in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The high-profile media interaction came after a series of diplomatic engagements between the two countries and highlighted their shared vision for stronger political, economic, and strategic ties.
Addressing the gathering, President Pezeshkian described Pakistan as Iran’s “second home,” underscoring the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and brotherly relations that unite the neighboring nations.
Both leaders pledged to accelerate economic cooperation, reiterating their goal of increasing bilateral trade volume to $10 billion annually through enhanced connectivity, investment, and commercial partnerships.
