ISLAMABAD: Youm-e-Ashur, observed on the 10th of Muharram-ul-Haram, will be commemorated across Pakistan on Friday with deep reverence and solemnity in remembrance of the sacrifices made by Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.) and his loyal companions in the Battle of Karbala.
Special religious gatherings, majalis, and mourning processions will be held in cities and towns throughout the country. Devotees will participate in various commemorative events to honour the courage, patience, and unwavering principles demonstrated by Imam Hussain (R.A.) and the martyrs of Karbala.
Religious scholars and Zakireen will address congregations, shedding light on the teachings, character, and enduring message of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.), while highlighting the historical significance of the Karbala tragedy.
Meanwhile, 9th Muharram is being observed today with mourning processions and majalis taking place across the country.
Participants are paying tribute to the martyrs of Karbala through traditional Taazia and Zuljanah processions, held under strict security arrangements in various regions.
