KARACHI: Karachi police have apprehended three individuals believed to be involved in the deadly shooting of a young doctor during a robbery near Teen Talwar in the Clifton area, according to South DIG Asad Raza.

During a press briefing on Wednesday, DIG Raza revealed that the suspects were detained from within the jurisdiction of the Defence police station. The 28-year-old doctor was shot and killed on Monday while resisting a robbery outside a private bank close to Teen Talwar.

The DIG explained that the suspects arrived at the scene on two motorcycles to carry out the attack. He added that law enforcement authorities identified and arrested the suspects within 36 hours of the incident, after gathering details within the first 24 hours.

Raza further stated that the suspects were already present at the scene when Dr. Akash arrived at the bank. One of the accused was reportedly involved in reconnaissance activities beforehand, passing crucial information to his accomplices.
