LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized the importance of proactive measures and directed all relevant agencies to fully mobilize resources to address potential challenges posed by the monsoon season, including urban flooding, hill torrents, and other related emergencies.
During a meeting held in Lahore today, she instructed officials to ensure swift response to concerns raised via the WASA helpline and to keep detailed records of all actions taken to resolve issues.
Additionally, Maryam Nawaz Sharif ordered strict enforcement of a ban on bathing in rivers, dams, and barrages to prevent accidents, and she mandated the use of drone surveillance to monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations during the rainy season.
