PM congratulates nation on Moody’s upgrade of Pakistan’s credit rating to B3

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended his congratulations to the Pakistani people following Moody’s decision to upgrade the country’s sovereign credit rating from CAA1 to B3.

In his statement, he expressed his appreciation for this positive development, emphasizing that it signifies growing international confidence in Pakistan’s economic policies and reform efforts. The Prime Minister praised the hard work of the government’s economic team, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, and other relevant ministers and officials, for their dedication.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that the upgrade reflects progress in Pakistan’s economic stability and the country’s improving external sector. He noted that international financial institutions and rating agencies acknowledging Pakistan’s economic improvements is a positive sign for the nation’s future.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to accelerating reforms aimed at building a resilient and sustainable economy. He stated that the government’s ongoing efforts are fostering greater confidence among global investors and institutions.
