Gold prices drop in Pakistan amid global market decline

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan saw a decrease on Tuesday, August 25, reflecting a global decline in bullion rates amid ongoing geopolitical tensions. 

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs600 per tola, bringing it down to Rs486,536. Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs514 to Rs417,126. 

On the international front, gold prices slipped by $6 per ounce, now valued at $4,640, as per the association’s report. 

Silver prices also experienced a decline, falling by Rs100 to Rs7,279 per tola in the local market.
