RAWALPINDI: A commemorative event was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Monday to observe the 104th anniversary of Turkish Armed Forces Victory Day, according to the Pakistan military’s media wing.
Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, İrfan Neziroğlu, was the guest of honor at the ceremony. The gathering underscored the enduring relationship between Pakistan and Turkey, emphasizing their shared values, mutual respect, and ongoing support for each other, as noted by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Attendees paid homage to the bravery and sacrifices of Turkish troops during the event. They also reiterated their dedication to further enhancing the robust defense and strategic cooperation between the two nations.
The ceremony was attended by military officials, representatives from the Turkish Embassy, and other distinguished guests. The event concluded with expressions of goodwill directed towards the people and armed forces of Turkey, ISPR added.
