KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Tuesday, with the price of 24-karat gold declining by Rs3,600 per tola to Rs435,436, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also decreased by Rs3,086 to Rs373,316. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold became cheaper by Rs2,829, settling at Rs342,218.
In the international market, gold prices dropped by $36 to $4,129 per ounce, the association said.
In contrast, silver prices remained stable in the domestic market. The price of silver stood at Rs6,234 per tola, while 10 grams continued to sell for Rs5,344.
International silver prices also remained unchanged at $57.56 per ounce, according to the association.
