MULTAN: A labourer was killed and six others injured when the roof of a plaza under construction collapsed in Multan, trapping workers beneath the rubble.
Rescue teams launched an operation at the site and recovered seven labourers from the debris.
District Emergency Officer Dr Hussain said the injured workers were shifted to Nishtar Hospital in critical condition for medical treatment.
According to the emergency official, the incident occurred due to structural failure.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses reported that another labourer remained trapped under the rubble as rescue operations continued.
