Islamabad: Number of corona cases and deaths are on rise as the fourth wave of the virus hit the country while 24 more people succumbed to the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) as many as close to 2000 cases reported in the last 24 hours across the country while the confirmed cases of the virus have jumped to 9, 78, 847.
As per the NCOC as many as 47, 472 tests were conducted for diagnosis of the virus out of which 1,980 came positive while positivity rate of coronavirus remained 4.17 percent.

The number of cases reported in Punjab 3, 48, 725, Sindh 3,49, 586, KP 1, 39, 710, Balochistan 28, 434, Gilgit Baltistan 7,044, Islamabad 83, 956, AJK, 21, 392 cases have been reported so far.
According to NCOC, deaths from the virus is on rise as more 24 died of the virus after which death toll reached 22, 642, while 2, 258 are in critical condition. 738 people have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours after which total tally of recovered persons are 9, 15, 343.

On the other hand 4.094703 million people have been administered both of the doses while 16. 445560 people have inoculated single dose.
