Karachi: Religio-Political party Jamat Islami (JI) led protest march commenced at Shahra-e-Faisal wherein a large number of the JI workers, activists are attending against local bodies system enacted by the Sindh government.

A large number of children, youth, men, women and elders are present in the protest rally. The JI activists blocked the Shahra-e-Faisal from both the sides. The participants of the march are holding banners inscribed with “Our Demand Is Powerful City Govt”.
It is pertinent to mention here that the JI protesting against the Sindh government recently passed local body government amendment bill and they have been staging sit-in outside the Sindh Assembly for 17 days.

The JI demanding local body system of 2000 to be restored and they have rejected recent local body system and previous which was conducted in 2013.
