Death Toll In Suicide Blast Inside Mosque In Peshawar Reaches 56

Peshawar: The death toll has reached 56 in Peshawar blast inside the mosque in Kocha Risaldar Qisa Khawani Bazar.

According to the spokesman of the lady reading hospital Peshawar, the number of people died in the blast turned 56.

The spokesman added that as many as 194 injured were brought to the hospital .


Earlier, 30 people were reported martyred and 50 injured in the bomb blast

According to the police, the bomb blast occurred in Kocha Risaldar mosque of Qisa Khawani Bazar

Rescue teams had reached the crime scene while Rescue work was being hampered in shifting of the injured to the hospital due to thin streets.

An emergency has been imposed in the lady reading hospital.

Security forces have surrounded the area after horrific bomb blast.

The police apprised that the suicide blast occurred during Friday prayers. According to the SSP operations the suicide bomber also opened fire on the policemen.

The suicide bomber after reaching inside the mosque went to the prayer leader sitting place where he detonated himself.

A bomb disposal squad has reached the crime scene and are collecting the evidences .

Prime Minister Imran Khan has condemned the blast inside a mosque in Qisa Khwani Bazar in Peshar.

The premier has directed immediate provision of medical aid to injured while the PM has also sought an investigation report of the blast.
