Islamabad: The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) political committee meeting will be held today in the chair of Prime Minister Imran Khan wherein the country’s situation will be discussed.
Sources said that the premier also take the political committee in confidence over nominating Pervez Elahi as the chief minister Punjab.
The PM will give new task to the political committee regarding contacts with allied parties and dissident members.
It is pertinent to mention here that Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar tendered his resignation to the premier yesterday after meeting between Prime Minister Imran Khan and PML-Q leader and speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
The PM, after resignation of Buzdar, nominated Pervez Elahi as a chief Minister Punjab.
The PML-Q has assured the ruling party PTI that they will support the government on a no confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan in National Assembly (NA).
