Karachi: Governor State Bank Of Pakistan (SBP) Jameel Ahmed on Wednesday (today) said that a probe against the banks who earned profits from dollar has completed and action against the banks will be taken soon while the report will be presented to media on January 23 as well.
Addressing Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries, the Governor SBP Jameel Ahmed said that we take decision regarding import by looking dollar available in the country.
The SBP governor apprised that from the next week dollars will come which will result into an increase of foreign reserves in the country.
Jameel Ahmed said that owing to the current account deficit we compelled to take some measures. While he apprised further that our imports have decreased.
He informed that the SBP has cleared the LCs cases 33 thousands while he apprised that further that it takes lot of time in checking the LC.
The SBP governor appreised that the central bank will soon open the LCs
