Ali Amin Gandapur handed over to police on one-day physical remand


Islamabad: An anti-terrorism court of Islamabad on Monday (today) handed over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Amin Gandapur to Islamabad police on one-day physical remand.

The anti-terrorism court judge Raja Jawad Abbas heard the case against the PTI leader.The court directed the prosecution to submit a voice matching report of Ali Amin Gandapur tomorrow.

The ATC also instructed the police conduct a medical inspection of the accused before and after the physical remand.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Ali Amin Gandapur was handed over to Islamabad police.

The Islamabad police had taken Ali Amin Gandapur to the federal capital where a case was registered against the PTI leader.

It is pertinent to mention here that the PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur was arrested in Dera Ismail (DI) Khan following a five-hour-long standoff.

District Police Officer Mohammad Naveed had said that the accused were intending to shift the arms to Lahore in the name of a private security company.

“The security company provided licenses of 13 rifles, all of which were issued by the government of Balochistan,” the police chief said. “A letter has been written to the home department for verification of these licenses,” he further said.

However, licenses for nine rifles were not provided, he said. “Arrested accused Ijaz has confessed that the unlicensed arms were destined for Zaman Park,” DPO said. “Accused Ijaz also confessed that the arms were kept at the place of Ali Amin Gandapur,” he added.

PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur caused a disturbance at the Dajjal check post of Bhakkar district, police earlier said.
