Lahore: The Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Neil Hawkins called on Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman in Lahore on Tuesday.
Promotion of bilateral relations in education, agriculture and other sectors were discussed during the meeting.
The Australian High Commissioner expressed desire for more bilateral cooperation in livestock, dairy and science and technology fields.
On the occasion, the Punjab Governor said that Australian companies have vast opportunities to invest in infrastructure development, renewable energy, agriculture and mining of Pakistan.
He also lauded Australian government’s steps to award more scholarships to Pakistani students.
He apprised the Australian High Commissioner about measures taken for the promotion of education in the universities.
The Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan said Australia is in favour of prosperous and stable Pakistan and there is need to promote cooperation in dairy and agriculture sectors.
