Karachi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday formally announced it support to Jamat-e-Islami-Pakistan (JIP) in election of mayor.
The PTI has won 43 chairman’s seats while the JI has 87 chairman seats while there is figure of 124 needed to become the mayor.
On the other hand, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has 104 chairmans seats. If all the PTI chairmans were voted for the JI then total it will be 130 seats.
The PPP as per its chairman seats looks weak but after PTI down fall owing to May 9 mayhem it is in strong opposition.
The JI has nominated Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman and Murtaza Wahab is expected mayor candidate from the PPP.
