Islamabad: Implementing the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreement After approval of increase in basic unit of electricity by Rs 4.96 now the government is preparing to increase gas tariff.
Sources said that the federal government will take decision soon that which and how much different slabs of gas consumers be burdened with increase amount?
Sources of ministry of energy said that the lowest amount of burden will be put on to residential consumers.
Sources further said that a new adjustment of prices will be conducted for different slabs and sectors.
A gas tariff will bring with the market rate for fertilizer sector and Kepto power, sources added.
Meanwhile, the summary of gas prices likely to be presented in the next week meeting of Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), sources said.
