Karachi: Chief of the party is a symbol of victory or defeat for any political party in any elections.
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) chief convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddique is contesting elections on the National Assembly seat NA-248 district central II previously it was NA-254, now NA-248 as per the latest census and delimitation after it.
The other major candidates of different political parties are Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Muhammad Babur, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate contesting elections as an independent candidate Arsalan Khalid.
Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) has fielded Muhammad Amjad while Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate is also in the run for February 8 elections.

The constituency includes all the blocks of F.B Area,the areas of Bandhani Colony, Godhra Camp, Al Azam Square, Gabol Colony, Sharifabad, Timber Market, Hussainabad, Azizabad, Al Noor Society, Ayesha Manzil , Samanabad, Gulberg, Ancholi, Water Pump, Gulshan-e-Ameen, Yousuf Plaza and Sohrab Goth.
