Islamabad: Voting for the election of Prime Minister candidates Pakistan Muslim League-N lead coalition Shahbaz Sharif and Sunni Ittehad Council candidate Umar Ayub is underway.
Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Saddiq announced the leader of the house candidates.
The Speaker NA has reserved lobby A for PML-N backed premier candidate while for SIC backed candidate lobby B has been reserved.
Any one coming to into and leaving the assembly hall is banned.
Before this after ringing a bell for five minutes the NA hall was closed .
The Speaker announced that those who wanted to vote for Shahbaz Sharif should go to lobby number A. On the other hand those wanted to vote for the SIC backed candidate should go to Lobby Number B.
In the house of 336 members to become a premier there is a need of getting 169 votes.
The Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam Fazal (JUIF) has boycotted the prime minister elections in the National Assembly.
Akhtar Mengal didn’t case his votes as he sit on his seat during the voting of the premier.
