Law Minister rejects impression judiciary being pressurized by any institution

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarrar has said that no body has said returning back just said to hold in-camera briefing.

Addressing a presser along with Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarrar in Islamabad, the Law Minister said that an impression was given that the intelligence agencies were interfering in the work of the judiciary.

Azam Nazeer Tarrar said that each and every institution should work in its parameter.

He said that the country is facing with challenges adding to steer out of the crisis there is a need of unity and consensus.

The Law Minister said that the commission was formed on the letter of six judges that everything could gets crystal clear.

Alluding to the letter written by a judge of the Islamabad High Court to Chief Justice of Pakistan, Azam Nazeer Tarar rejected the impression that judiciary is being pressurized by any institution.

Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar said that the cabinet has approved re-constitution of IT Tribunals to swiftly dispose of tax related cases worth billions of rupees pending in the courts.

The Law Minister said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has foregone his powers to appoint the judicial and technical members and now all Chartered Accountants will be hired through a proper channel.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said the request for an in-camera briefing by the Attorney General of Pakistan was made in view of the national security.

He made it clear that no compromise will be made on national security.
