ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court in Rawalpindi will announced the long-awaited £190 million case verdict against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran khan and his wife Bushra Bibi tomorrow.
The decision on the 190 million pounds reference against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi will be announced tomorrow. Judge of the Accountability Court, Nasir Javed Rana, will announce the decision at 11 AM tomorrow at Adiala Jail, and the judicial staff has informed the parties involved. Imran Khan’s lawyer, Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, also confirmed that the judicial staff has notified them about the decision being announced tomorrow. Additionally, the judicial staff has informed the NAB prosecution team as well.
It is noteworthy that the Accountability Court had reserved its decision on the 190 million pounds reference on December 18, 2024. Initially, the decision was scheduled for December 23, followed by January 6, and now the third date given is January 13, 2025. The trial for the 190 million pounds reference was completed in one year, during which NAB recorded statements from 35 witnesses. Imran Khan’s lawyers cross-examined the witnesses. Key witnesses in the case included former Principal Secretary Azam Khan, former Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, and former Federal Minister Zubaida Jalal, who also recorded their statements. The indictment in the 190 million pounds reference was filed on February 27, 2024
